POLICIES
Terminating Your Employment with ICES
If you are planning to leave ICES and officially end your appointment,
it is imperative that you notify the administrative staff. A letter of
resignation or an email stating your last day at ICES, any remaining PTO
and a forwarding address should be sent to Rhonda Moyer (rm7q@andrew.cmu.edu)
as soon as your intentions are known. This allows the administrative office
to accurately update your current paycheck, all mailing lists, and office
records.
Also,
if you occupy office space in Hamburg Hall but do not receive a paycheck
through ICES, you must inform the administrative staff if you decide to
leave the Institute, University, etc. If possible, email a forwarding
address so that your information can be added to our "alumni" mailing
list.
For
more information on the above procedures, please contact Rhonda Moyer
at 8x6410 or via email at rm7q@andrew.cmu.edu.
ICES
Press Coverage Policy
Please note, if you are contacted by the media for any press coverage
on an ICES, PITA or related project, please notify Dana Hilinski that
same day. The ICES administrative office is compiling records of all press
coverage that ICES and PITA receive. This information will be presented
to various review boards to solidify our prominence at this university.
When
speaking to the press, it is imperative that ICES and PITA, if applicable,
is mentioned alongside your name. Please emphasize this during all interviews.
If
you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please send email
to hilinski@andrew.cmu.edu.
Members of ICES received a notable amount of press in year 2000, however,
many times neither ICES nor PITA received any mention.
