Pradeep Khosla — ICES Director (1997–1999)


Pradeep Khosla is currently the Dean of the College of Engineering and the Philip and Marsha Dowd Professor of Engineering. Founder of the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES), Professor Khosla joined the Carnegie Mellon faculty in 1986 and has become a recognized leader in embedded and intelligent robotic systems research. He has been a major influence in educational programs both in ECE and in the Robotics Institute. He has also served at Carnegie Mellon as the head of Electrical and Computer Engineering from 1999 to 2004. He is a fellow of AAAS, IEEE and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
