Outreach
An ICES institute is to create opportunities for multidisciplinary engineering research. Our
educational outreach programs offer the same breadth of opportunity for students, giving them
the chance to discover inter-related areas of engineering for the first time or to hone a
developed interest later in their educational career. ICES offers outreach opportunities for
students ranging in academic level from elementary (Moving 4th into Engineering and National
Engineers Week) and middle school (SEE) to university undergraduate (A SURE Thing) and doctoral
(Dowd-ICES Fellowships) work.
