National Engineers Week

Annual Brochure Cover

Each year in February, ICES participates in National Engineers Week at the Carnegie Science Center. This event celebrates the contributions of engineers to our daily lives by providing children of all ages with hands-on engineering activities designed to introduce them to basic scientific concepts. The ICES table features an activity called "How to Build a Bone," in which students construct bone-like structures from simple materials, like copy paper and newsprint, which they then test for strength by seeing how much weight it can support.
