: MATURE RESEARCHINDUSTRY AFFILIATES :

The Embedded and Reliable Information Systems Laboratory interacts closely with many companies, research projects (at CMU and elsewhere), and government agencies interested in maintaining reliability in the design, maintenance, and testing of software systems. In particular, member companies spend time with us to help guide our research and transfer our technologies to their process.

Most of our support comes from state and federal sources.  In addition, we have a lot of friends in industry who provide us with advice, equipment, software to test, and funding for our research activities.

Industry Affiliates participate with ERIS Researchers during the many activities we host.  Recent examples of the type of activities include:

ICES Fall Open House
Fall 2003 Knowledge Management Forum
Software Reliability Seminar

The ERIS Laboratory is continually looking for partners in new and exciting research projects regarding embedded system design, improving system dependability, engineering knowledge management, sensor networks, and improving system robustness.

For more information about participating as a member, please see the ICES main web site at http://www.ices.cmu.edu or contact Mike Bigrigg, ERIS Co-Director, by email at bigrigg@cmu.edu, by telephone at (412) 268-7668, or by fax at (412) 268-3010.
