Ballista : Software
Robustness Testing The Ballista automated
robustness testing approach probes software to see how effective it
is at exception handling. Ballista testing enables users to test the
robustness of home-grown and third party software on their own
computers.
PASIS : Engineering
Survivable Storage The PASIS
project is building survivable storage systems and devloping an
engineering understanding of the associated trade-offs between
performance, availability, and security.
nDIM The mission of the nDIM group is to provide
software to support the information needs of geographically and
temporally dispersed teams of individuals engaged in multi-person,
multi-place, multi-period, interdisciplinary tasks like, but not
limited to, engineering design.
CDNA : Context Dependant
Network Agents Carnegie
Mellon University is leading a consortium of five universities to
develop a new type of agent, the context dependant agent, whose
deployment will improve the agility and robustness of large, dynamic
networks that face new and unanticipated operating
conditions.
Embedded
Networks In the Embedded
Networks project, smaller scale computer networks based on the
Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol and other embedded media
access methods are being studied for both performance and
dependability.
Amaranth : Quality of
Service In the Amaranth
project, researchers are exploring ways to provide Quality of Service
with networked computer systems that are sized for average demand
instead of peak demand.
