2010 Steven J. Fenves Award Presented to Burcu Akinci

ICES is pleased to announce that Burcu Akinci, professor of civil and environmental engineering, is the recipient of the 2010 Steven J. Fenves Award for Systems Research.
Professor Burcu Akinci is recognized for the innovative and ground-breaking systems-oriented research she has conducted on systems that integrate advanced computing and sensing on construction sites, that represent, integrate and manage many sources of information about buildings, and that deliver support for analyzing and using this information to better support facility operations and management.
The "Steven J. Fenves Award for Systems Research" is presented annually to individuals for their contributions to systems research in areas that are relevant to the College of Engineering and ICES.
