Graduate Student Joel Harley Presents at Structural Health Monitoring Conference

Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) graduate student Joel Harley will be presenting a co-authored CenSCIR paper on the "Focusing of Ultrasonic Waves in Cylindrical Shells using Time Reversal" at the 7th International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring 2009, in Stanford, CA, in September. The focus of the presentation will be on the use of these techniques on natural gas pipelines. Other authors of the paper include ECE graduate student Nicholas O'Donoughue; ECE Research Scientist Yuanwei Jin; ECE professor Jose M.F. Moura; Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) professors James Garrett, Irving Oppenheim and Lucio Soibelman; and CEE students Joe States and Yujie Ying.
