Dr. Rosenbloom's research focuses on microchip-based sensor systems, detection of
PNA-DNA binding by dialectic resonance spectroscopy, microdialysis of proteins,
and nanoporous silicon carbide. He currently researches the development of
patient-physician interface using non-invasive, miniaturized, multifunctional
sensors that report molecular events within the patient to the physician in order
to improve the data gathering process.
He earned his B.A., Biology, in 1975 from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC),
M.D., in 1980 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore (UMAB), Internal Medicine Residency,
Elliot Wolfe, M.D.; from 1980-1983 at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Postdoctoral Fellow;
Robert T. Schimke, M.D.; in 1984-1986 from the Department of Biological Sciences, Stanford University,
as well as a Medical Subspecialty Fellowship, Critical Care Medicine, Ake Grenvick, M.D.; from 1987-1989
at Presbyterian-University Hospital, University of Pittsburgh,
